[nocol-users] SysV Bug in "make root"

This has been around for some time, but...

On a SysV system (eg. Solaris 2.5.1), when you do a "make root" with
strict root paths (eg. /usr/bin and /usr/sbin only), the make fails to
find "whoami" (which generally lives under the BSD binaries in /usr/ucb
or similiar). It would be nice if "configure" picked this up... then
again, when running <anything> as root, it would be nice if everything
was run from absolute paths.

Regards,
Russell
