Hi all,
I've just installed NOCOL a few days ago, go through the installation
docs, faqs and list archives and solved most of the problems but the
ones below.
Thanks in advance for any help or idea that you may provide.
The system is a Solaris 8 box, Nocol ver 4.3.1
1) hostmon only shows the DF info for / (root), other partitions
are not displayed although they are physically exists. When I turn
on the debug, only difference I can notice is that a
(dbg) Initing curvar{DFspace_%used}
done after /
but a
(dbg) curvar{DFspace_%used} not changed
after all other partitions. Btw, those are displayed correctly if
I make a telnet 5355.
Ops.. hostmon gives a
do_line: ERROR- no 'default' config for DFspace_avail
2) ps gives previously mentioned
usage: ps [ -aAdeflcjLPy ] [ -o format ] [ -t termlist ]
[ -u userlist ] [ -U userlist ] [ -G grouplist ]
[ -p proclist ] [ -g pgrplist ] [ -s sidlist ]
'format' is one or more of:
user ruser group rgroup uid ruid gid rgid pid ppid pgid sid
pri opri pcpu pmem vsz rss osz nice class time etime stime
f s c lwp nlwp psr tty addr wchan fname comm args
error. The use of /bin/ps was offered before, but ps path is already
defined as /bin/ps and /bin/ps -p runs well.
3) no logs accumulated under /usr/local/nocol/logs and /nocol/logs
while an "info file not found" message displayed, when I click
Device Logs button from the web interface.
4) keepalive continuously generates
(libdebug) eventlog send() error: (libdebug)
error. But I observed no negative effects ??? Any idea ?
5) Finally, I could not figure out how syslogmon works,
I've set the files to be scanned a /var/adm/messages
and "su:" is definded as a critical match. But I did not
get any critical log altough it exists in /var/adm/messages
Is this a wrong use of syslogmon.
6) Sorry for bothering with so much questions.
